Put my new 6637 with petes cover in and put a 4" mbrp exaust on over the holidays. Easy, no brainer installs, but quite a difference in performance. Truck is stock except for those 2 items.
What I noticed most after the install is how smooth acceleration is now through the entire 0 - 95mph test run. Used to be quite random up and down surges in power through out the acceleration band, now its just one steady motion. Not sure if I really gained any HP, but I sure like the results so far.
Thanks to Clay for getting everything shipped out fast, even during the xmas blitz for shipping.
Next on the list is a tranny cooler and upgraded valvebody, after that, I see a Tuner in my future, just haven't decided exactly which one I want and with what tunes yet Good problem to have I suppose..........
The gauges were in the truck, but not hooked up, hooked them up an hour before the exhaust and intake went in unfortunately. Have had inlaws and outlaws in my house since December 4th non-stop, so I weren't thinking to well on this one, would have been nice to see any changes, however minor they would be.
Pleasantly suprised though, I was doing this in anticipation of a tuner in my future, I didn't really expect to notice anything initially.
Just realized I better order that wicked wheel when I get my tranny cooler and valve body, then I should be about ready for the tuner
