Well, A few weeks ago we had a cold spell hit Northern Cali. It got down to about 8 at my house. Long story short. I forgot to turn my chip back to stock that morning. After that week my truck developed a knock. It is pretty much there all the time. seems to quiet down some when I let off the throttle slowing down which made me think injector. Anyone Near Redding that would help me diagnose this problem. Food and beer on me........lol Thanks
just a shot in the dark but check the UVCH. Could be that one shrunk in the cold and you are getting poor connection to one or more injectors. Do a search on here for Buzz test and do it to figure out which one is bad. This will also tell you if you do have a bad injector, and which one it is. Could save you a ton of money compared to taking it to a dealer and having them figure out what is going on with it.
do you know any mec at the mill or loggin companys mybe could help, i'm in burney
-7 here when you were 8 , used crc fuel additive helped quite #8 some, wish i could help.
I have a friend that is a mechanic at the mill but not a powerstroke guru. How long have you been up in Burney Lowbed? You probably know my buddy Dave.- aka- two bears. There is no way this truck is going to the dealer, With the financial situation it is right now I cant afford someone throwing parts at it. I do all my work myself, oil changes, starters, front hubs but no motor work yet. really need to do bellowed up pipes but funds and intimidation of the job itself have slowed me down
i know two bears, haven't seen him in a bit, crown no way!!! didn't thank you would.
drive for bti, need lots of good stuff but work some weks good others not so no spend now!
