I have a 1946 Ford 1 ton pick up that I am restoring and I need a passenger side running board it is twisted up beyond repair does anyone know where I could find one?? Please help
Good luck finding some. I have asked this before. I need some full length ones for my 47 1 ton. I kinda have come down to the fact that I will have to take what is usefull from my existing ones and fab up some new ones. But if anyone knows of any that are in decent shape, please post.

Well that depends on the price of the whole truck i could always use extra parts! I also don't know how I would get it how far is it from Minnesota?
Fairlane Company has the running boards and rear fenders in fiberglass. Ive had their boards on my truck for over 15 years now with out any problems. Fairlane Company Catalog

Only thing, I think they are for a half ton. If so, they will not fit 3/4 ton and up.
Can anybody tell me if theres any truth to this? I got a phone call from a guy saying that the 46 ford trucks have the running board bolts under neath the running boards in a slot and the 47's go thru the running boards. Anyone heard or no of this?
ok so maybe mine is a 46, thats what i was told it was and then i was told the bolt thing so ya, i guess i will know more when i can figure out a title for it.
After tearing several of them apart, I don't believe that there is any difference in the way they are bolted on in any of the jail bar ford tonners. I will say that the originals have a special shoulder bolt that goes through the running board and into the hanger, that keeps it from smashing the board. I couldn't find anyone who reporduced these, and ended up drilling and tapping the old head and putting a piece of allthread with locktight into the hole to reproduce them. hope this helps.
