Got a little tucked up last night!

Never was happy with Henry's idea of where the rear bumper should be on these trucks, so I removed 1.5" of the downward angled part of the mount and re-welded. I was going to remove 2.25" and suck it way up and in, but then I'd have to find a suitable new place to mount the vintage plate, and I could not think of anywhere better than where it is. Also had new pipes bent and routed out the rear fenders. Maybe you can see my Air Ride Technologies billet adjustable shocks. (love em) I have 2 more pics, but never can post more than one at a time. I'm working on it...

For comparison:

Not a radical change, but it doesn't look disproportionately low and jutting out like it did.. Last pic, I swear!

Now that's sweet.

One pic at a time of such a nice ride is perfect - the pics can be viewed one at a time with no distraction.

I love what you did. But I never noticed how low they sat until you brought it up!

I looked at the pictures of mine and sure enough! Hmph! Now I don't like mine as much - maybe I'll have to fix it like yours - sure looks good!

I too do not like how the original rear bumper juts out; I have a roll pan. I never thought about a nip/tuck but it sure makes your rear end look better. And for the fools that follow too close, it gives your rear some protection as well.

I think I'll pipe down now.
