I am looking for an A-pillar replacement that would accommodate 2 gauges for my F-350. Are there any aftermarket vendors that offer this as a tan molded piece that would be ready to install rather then a black piece that needs to be painted? I am a bit concerned about the longevity of a painted piece. Thanks in advance for your help.
The paint is extreemly durable, there should be no worries there. I have had the pillar gauges installed in a couple of trucks in the past, however the one thing I did not like was that the larger pillar did cause a larger blind spot when looking out the front window due to it's increased size. If I were to install gauges again I would make use of one of the mounts that either install up around the the instrument cluster or on top of the dash towards the center section.
Just curious, what gauges are you wanting to install? My guess would be EGT and Turbo PSI?
Call Clay a Riff Raff, he is/was a fellow FTE'er who opened up his own place and now hes a sponsor. Ive seen him beat everyone elses prices, and most importantly the customer service is amazing, hes a great guy.

Ditto on what That_Guy said. I picked up a 3 pod with my gauges and Clay sent mine already painted. Everything went in like a charm. He's good people and his prices are more than reasonable and as mentioned already, the customer service is phenomenal. That reminds me... i still need to get pics up. Keep us posted, we'd love to hear how everything works out.

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to get on the horn with Clay and see what he can do for me. I plan to add a couple of the Aeroforce Interceptor gauges along with the EGT probe. Secondary to monitoring the EGT would be monitoring the engine and transmission temps while towing our travel trailer.
If you clean and prep the panel it will look good. There are two colors of tan one for earlier and one for later models. Mine look good and match perfect. The panel is not generally in contact with anything so scuffs and scratches shouldn't be a issue. Heck chevy paints their tan interior and the dashes hold up well so a gauge pod shouldn't be a issue

You'd be surprised (then again, maybe you wouldn't) at the number of interior parts Ford, Chrysler & GM have installed over the years that are painted. I used to work for a place that made things like arm rests, dashes, steering wheel pads etc for them. If the vinyl parts came out of the oven off-color, there was a paintline specifically to spray them the correct colors. The stuff held up fine unless you used something like acetone on them which would take off the paint.
