So i could have my hands on a 7.3L turbo diesel for dirt cheap, it comes with the turbo, manifolds, and the ecu. i was just wondering how much cutting/welding would be involved with a project like this? if anyone has any information on it, i would appreciate it!

 

Shouldn't be all that much cutting & welding, except for maybe the firewall to clear the turbo and downpipe. Take notes as you go, and you'll be fine. Be prepared for the 1000 pounds of iron going on the suspension.

 

If i do go through with the swap, i'll be beefing up the front suspension to compensate the weight

i was thinking of doing that, but i have moved on to do a body swap not a engine swap... just a nother idea
