What to do to my truck if its going to be sitting long?
I just got out of surgery on my hand and its not looking good. I cut two nerves and severed the artery. I won't have full use my hand for about 3-4 months. Since it is a 6 speed, What do I need to do to my truck since it wont be driven for a while.
That sucks man. I could come up and drive her for ya Seriouly though if it's just a few months, fill it up with fuel and start it every week or so and let it idle up to normal temps or have someone drive it 20 min or so.
I would fill her up full of fuel. Park it near a place you can run a power cord. Pick up a couple battery tenders. Cheap ones from walmart, one for each battery. Disconnect the batteries and plug in the tenders. And let her sit.. I do this every year. My truck sits from when they salt the roads in December to after a couple rain showers in the spring. April. Sometimes march/may. You should be good except if a critter tries to make a home.
I'd say once a week start it & let it come up to temps. If anything else, you'll get to tinker with your truck for more motivation to get better!! I too send you some good mojo for a quick recovery!!
