I heard a loud pop under the front left hand side of the truck when I tried to engauge the 4 wheel drive. Since then it will not lock in the front. Any advise on where to look?
Your driveshaft is still connected right? Odd guess but maybe you broke a U-Joint and your front driveshaft is sitting on your crossmember or something.
Perhaps broke a hub. But my only educated guess would be to make sure the driveshaft is still connected firmly at both ends..
Well all you need is an alan wrench, i haven't delt much with auto lockouts, but all you gotta do is take the 6 or so screws out and it should pull out, if it in pieces thats not a good sign. I've heard alot of people who have auto lockouts switch to manual lockouts because manual ones can be trusted alot more.
