zf tranny noise
from reading all of the posts about the zf s542 tranny, i gather a little noise is normal, mine makes a noise only when in neutral when warm. is this the "normal" noise that is being refered to?

zf tranny noise
If it makes the noise when you have the clutch out but goes away when you push the clutch in, yes, it is normal. It's just spinning in neutral when you have the clutch out. When you push the clutch in it stops spining the tranny.
