Well I finally got MY Ex a few weeks ago and it has been a awsome experience so Far V-10 and I average 13-14 Highway Vity combined for a tank hand caculated and thats at 5,000 feet and higher daily drive. I tried to do a search so if anyone knows the thread already let me know. How effective has throotle body spacer been for a V-10 based on your expereince and what are some reliable brands, I say a twin helix one that looked pretty solid. Also has anyone lloked at Banks' package they make for the 6.8L gas. Thanks again for your help. 89oo lBs through 8 inches of snow for 23 miles today and it handled like a dream.
never messed with the throtle spacers. I would do some more searching around before emptying your pockets buying banks products. Although they are nice they are very expensive.
Don't waste your money on a throtle body spacer. I had one on my 01 expy with 5.4 and have notice no change so I took it off and disposed it, a waste of money.

I wouldn't waste any money on a TBS ... Just use that $ towards a tank of gas and you'll be better off
And yes I have to agree on driving this thing in the snow -- We had 12 inches+ of snow here in NY and I didn't even put it in 4wd... Drove slow and steady and seemed to always have full control - even with the stock crappy shocks and no sway bar...
btw -- I'd be happy with 13-14 hwy... I have been averaging 10-11 on highway - but traffic sucks on the expressway here so half of my 40+ mile commute is considered city driving - lol
Throttle body spacers have turned into a scam industry. These spacers were originally designed for only a few specific applications, but the scammers try to sell this product for any and all vehicles (even diesels which don't even have a throttle body to begin with). For 99% of the vehicles on the road right now, a throttle body spacer has zero effect.
