Bang on take off

Hello everyone, never thought of joining a forum but friends say its helpful, so here it goes. On my 04 f150 I have notice on a good take off my truck makes a banging sound underneath. Sounds like something loose or something is catching up on take off. A friend had the same problem but sold his truck. Not sure what it is but hits hard on take off. Anyone have this problem? Thanks

You might have a broken motor mount.

anouther possibility is the u joints.. Not sure how you perform a good take off. Dumping the clutch, power braking, or just flooring it?

Welcome to FTE. Where underneath does the sound come from? The front, middle or rear?

Man that was fast thanks. Sound seems to come from the front to middle of truck. If i lightly press gas it doesn't do it. No clutch. automatic tranny. I will look into the tranny mount. Thanks for the fast response.
