Annoying Beeping in 2000 Expedition - Like seat belt alarm
I really need to time it but I will guess it does it for about 5-minutes before it gives up. Now, the LED light in the dash is off indicating that at least the light knows that the buckles are attached as if that were not the case the red LED stays on but the beeping is the same regardless.
I have also considered a surgical process to kill the beeper but I could use some advise on what to look at to resolve this first. I that fails, then I welcome advise on how to kill the seat belt sensor OR where to find the beeper or wires to it to stop the annoying beep

Sorry to be vague, I can record it and time it if that would help and post the audio and times. My 1997 didn't have this beep so it is hard for me to confirm if it is the seatbelt reminder but that is my assumption at this point.
EDIT: I will try this when I get a chance:

We wear our seatbelt, this damn thing goes off regardless and it is driving me nuts.
I am still working on this

Didn't work on the 2000
2. wait approx. 1 minute for the "fasten seatbelt" signal to turn off on the dash.
3. while sitting in the seat, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 9 times. the "fasten seatbelt" signal should start flashing.
4. while the "fasten seatbelt" signal is flashing, buckle and unbuckle 1 time.
Didn't work either
Close all doors.
Turn key to ACCS. DO NOT START.
Wait for seatbelt light to go out. (Takes a minute or so.)
When it goes out buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times.
End with the seatbelt unbuckled.
Turn on headlamps and then turn off.
Do the seatbelt 3 more times.
When light blinks, do the seatbelt ONE more time.
The light should flash real fast for 4 seconds if you did it right.
I wonder if the beeping could be a warning about that led/bulb being out?
I need to investigate more as I don't mind the seatbelt reminder but I have to stop that beeping!
Gem module behind fuse panel or the RCM module behind the center console.
Where's it coming from?
BRAKE light inop won't trigger GEM's beeper.
RCM beeps a 5 x 5 pattern for inop SRS lamp.
Might be as simple as the key-in-ignition sensor, a bad seat belt latch switch (unplug the connector at the base of the latch to test, or a sticky door or window latch switch.

I also purchased the 2-volume Ford Service Manual for the 2000 Expedition as well as the 2000 Wiring Manual as I try to fix what I can and at about $70 for these it is cheaper than an hour labor at the shop!
Should have the manuals in a week or so (media mail shipping
)I still need to time it and post more details on what the patern is, just been stuck at work all hours of the day this week.
