2003 explorer door wont close when cold out

did anyone ever have this problem when its below 30 degrees out my driver side door wont close until the heater gets hot enough to warm it up so im driving to work holding the dam door shut...

I have a 1997 MM and do not have that problem. Is it possible that the weatherstripping is misaligned OR has it become hardened and will not compress when it is cold. What about the passenger side?

Try spraying some graphite on the latching mechanism that is on the door.

i sprayed graphite,,wd40 ,pb blaster..nothing works i just have to replace the lock...i guess...i never seen anything like this

its moisture inside the lock- latch. if spraying from outside dont work, you need to take off the door panel and get a closer look- and spray.

i did not take the panel off but i didnt see any indacation of wet or water inside the door but i will...take off the panel but why wont the door shut what would hold it up...
