Alternator Brackets

Hi Guys & Gals
I just posted some pics of the alternator bracket I made for my 312.
The problem is, I cannot get the photo discriptions to post on pics when
you click on them. What am I doing wrong? Has always worked before. Same thing happened in my engine album.

Gary--I am still learning the art of posting pics. It is unreasonably hard to do. I have done it,but almost by accident.
I am interested in the alternator bracket also. I saw that NPD sells a kit to install the alt. and replace the genny. Bill

What a dummy I am. I forgot to mention the pics are in my gallery under alternator brackets. Sorry for any confusion.

Hey Bill!

I'm with you on how difficult it is to navigate around the site, especially when trying to post pictures or use the search.

Here's what I do to get around it and it works great. When you get on Internet explorer and go to FTE, open two more IE tabs up in the tool bar (I actually open three additional).

Use the first one to have on the index page for our forum. Then open the second one to FTE but go to your gallery main page. Third, I open to FTE but save it for the "Search This Forum" tab. Last one I open to search my internet favorites - e-bay, parts places, VIN decoders etc.

When you do that, you can bounce around to all of these tabs and not have to navigate back and forth, just click on the tab with the page on it you want to go to and then cut and paste info.

OK for example. Say I want to answer a question about Overdrives for someone who inquires. My first IE tab would be on the thread I'm writing on. The second tab would have my gallery with the overdrive pictures on it. Third tab would be on the list from the "Search This Forum " where I had searched for "overdrive" and my forth tab is on e-bay so I can copy and past the links of the overdrive parts into the thread.

So I would write my answer, then click tab two (gallery) to get the URL for the picture - copy that, then click on the first tab and paste it. Then I click on tab 3 to copy the URLs for the previous posts - click back on tab one and paste them, then go to tab 4 click on the URLs for the transmissions on e-bay and back to tab 1 to paste them down.

Much faster than trying to navigate to all those places.

So if you just want to do a picture, open two tabs - one to the FTE thread and one to your gallery. You can import photo's into the gallery when you are in the second tab. Then just click on the "forum codes - for displaying images in forum posts" - copy the URL, the click back on tab 1 and the "picture" icon, paste the URL and you are there - just that fast!

I can write a response, add two photo's two previous posts and a couple e-bay links in less than 30 seconds!!!!!!!

Works great!!!!! Hope I didn't loose ya!

Try it!

Julie
