I have a 99 eb expedition and the air compressor has stopped working. I am thinkingg about converting it over to a regular suspension. But not sure if this will work. Would I have to buy a conversion kit? Or would the parts of a regular expedition with out the air suspension work? I went to the mechanic and he would not give me a straight answer. The ford dealership says it is not possible but I have found some on the net. Has any one out there done this? Please help.

Reason: mispelling
Whether you choose to keep the air system or convert to springs. I purchased a rebuilt compressor from him earlier this year to replace mine in my 99EB after 100,000 miles on the original. I really like the way the air system works, and mine has been extremely reliable. I think the rebuilt unit was $150 and well worth it to me.
I'm sure he could tell you if swapping springs from a non LLS Expedition would work.
