lost power and now it wont start

I put gas in my diesel fuel tank,so to correct it I removed the tank then clean it out and put the tank back.olso removed the gas from all the fuel lines, then I filled the fuel filter with diesel, the truck started and ran great for about 100 miles then all of sudden it lost power and died ,now it wount start. what do you think is the matter?

does your tach move while cranking?smoke from the tail pipe?...could be a different issue than the gas in tank(since you drove a bit after)

Welcome to FTE. As you can see there are a lot of helpful people here to you give you a hand.

I doubt the gas in your fuel tank had anything to do with your current problem. When you give a few answers to the questions above you'll be truckin' again.
If you have no smoke coming from the tail pipe or no tach moving while cranking...you probably have a bad Cam Positions Sensor (CPS)....a fairly common issue.

JON CON, Welcome to FTE.
I agree with these guys. The gas will not affect the engine and will not be the problem.
One more question. You said you cleaned the tank, what did you clean it with?

I did the same thing one time except it was 1 full tank and the other was half.
I had to drain the full tank but the half tank I filled it the rest of the way up with diesel and added 3 quarts of auto tranny fluid. It ran like a dream.

Your problem is probably CPS.
