convert from manual to auto?
Has anybody converted an F-series 5 spd manual to auto (E4OD for example)?
My 91' F350 has a 460 with the HD 5spd manual. I would like to hear from anyone who has done a conversion. I am forced (by a left foot medical problem) to consider getting a different truck w/auto trans. But I thought I would ask if such a conversion would be feasible on my old truck instead.

There's some folks here that have done that swap with success. Use the search function to find some of the older threads.
I'm not sure where you are, but I've wanted to swap my C6 auto to a manual. I don't suppose you're in Maine?

just from what i know about doing swaps the other way lol is you will need a tranny cooler, to make up tranny cooler lines just use -an hose or hydrolic hose, you'll need a different flywheel/flexplate forget what the automatic one is called, maybe a different driveshaft and you'll have to do some fab. work on your crossmember. going from a manual to auto is easier than the other way around. and a c6 can handle some power too just use an "R" code servo valve and a good valvebody and converter any it'll handle around 450-500hp all day no problem.
