38' Oil Truck
38' Oil Truck
I just purchased this a month or so ago and wanted to share. Does anyone know anything about this particular truck. Supposedly it was part of a museum collection in CA owned by a Japanese concern. I would like to pick up a mirror for the passenger side. Any ideas where? BTW - what a cool forum. I'm in heaven.

See Mac's Antique Auto Parts...... there a GREAT ford resource and also mail out free catalogues..... were I get all my 1947 ford parts.

The red paint is no more. Here it is with a first coat of Panzer Grey.

The undercarriage will get paint and the top-side more paint when they fashion the fuel can holders and other doo-dads yet to be added.

Yep, I agree - the metal does look smoother in grey. Besides... its not done yet. Still have to get the back part built and lots of little added details. Then we'll see.
Personally, I don't think there are too many things in life that don't look better with a coat of Panzer Grey applied.
- That's a joke by the way. Well sorta - late war (1943-45) camouflage schemes look great too.
Like Mel Gibson yelled in Braveheart - "FREEDOM!!!" Freedom to critique, freedom to disagree, and freedom to buy up antique trucks and destroy/immortalize them depending on your viewpoint.
