Pulled front end from 73 f250 HD,including master cylinder. Truck has dual piston calipers. Installing in 66 F250 Camper Special. Dose master cylinder have residual pressure valves? Rear metering valve? Donor truck has no proportioning valve. Is one necessary? What years will fit? are valves for F100/150's different from F250/350's?
Thank You!
I have a proportioning valve from a 75 f100
# D5TA 2B524-FB. Would this be the correct valve?

Where did you look for the (Brake Differential) proportioning valve on the donor truck?
With dual master cylinders: All 1967 and later cars & trucks have one.
On most trucks, it's located on the outside of the frame rail behind the left front tire.
On some trucks, it's just below the master cylinder next to the steering gearbox.
There's more than one, it depends on the year, with/without disc brakes, and the GVWR of the vehicle if an F250.
1973/79 F250: I need to know the GVWR, there are two. One is used for a GVWR of 6200 lbs, the other for 6900, 7500 or 8100 lbs.
The valve from the 73 (8100 lb) was on crossmember between front wheels(is this proportioning)? The one from the 75 f100/150 was located next to MC.
Thank You!

I don't recall seeing one in that location, but I haven't looked at one of these trucks in over 20 years, so...
Parts catalog shows it in the two locations I posted above. but a parts catalog ain't a shop manual.
The illustrations are mainly for finding part numbers.
The Proportioning Valve is a brass block with 4 brake lines attaching to it.
It also has a 2 pin electrical (plastic) switch that screws on.
This switch is for the low brake fluid warning light on the dash.
