official cheap truck draggin low beater challenge-- AKA O.C.T.D.L.B.C.
its a contest a friend and i have organized between the two of us.
rules(not particular order):
-any fullzise truck
-$800 max spending
-streel legal/safe
-lowest part of the truck can be no higher than 7" off the ground
-no straight pipes
-no chrome(everything flat black)
-must be finished for august 2009 show and shine cruise weekend
-no stereo
-no inner fenders or excess body panels
-welded or locked rear end
-no interior pannels
-money from sold items of the truck can be used without regards to the set budget
-must have bench seat
-no carpet
-completely shave, but has to have mirrors
-no rear bumper
-dual exhaust exiting body
-must buy a "gag" gift for the other person of the contest that has to be in or on the truck at all times.
have any of your guys done something like this with a buddy or two? what do you think of the idea?
and does anybody know where i can find a running ford older than 1980 for cheap?
I should enter my 1975 it would be perfect. But then I'd have to get the lights working and put on a muffler....too much work for me. Today I was so happy,I thought I blew the transmittion up but it turned out I just leaken alot of Tranny fluid out a broken fitting.

No the fitting is in my 1975 I was hauling and towing some Sh$# around the yard.
If they let you enter one Fom I'll help ya this week. prob use that 1970 plain Jane of yours.
