Schaeffer's 204 SAT Synthetic tranny fluid. It's what BTS uses in all their tranny's.

You can use Mercon if you can find it, but you probably won't. If it were me I would be putting a synthetic Mercon V version. It's a bit pricey but works very well. I have used the Mobil1 version in the power steering and it made the pump quieter and the effort to turn the wheel was less. When I do the trans flush, I will definitely be going that route.

That's because you were smart enough to add the Power Steering pump into the thread and had to type more.

Using the synthetic tranny fluid in my PS pump definitely quited down the whining in my pump during the cold winter start ups - good point to add and relatively easy to flush out.

I have no problem finding mercon in my area. Its what I use.

Advance Auto Parts has it and Costco has it.

Mercon V Synthetic is the way to go. I've got the Valvoline in mine and love it.

Moble 1 is what I use, never see temp above 170.
