Just picked up a used turbo (had 40,000 on the engine) its in really good shape. Paid $125 on Craigslist - What a steal! its a 99.5-2002 so the 1.0 housing. Id like to experiment a bit and mod it - Something like an ebpv delete or WG delete... What would be cool to do?! something interesting that i can interchange with the stock turbo.

Any ideas and outta the box thinking would be great! thanks guys

 

ats shroud, wicked wheel (not necessary w/ shroud), banks or ats exhaust housing, wg delete, banks big head actuator.

 

wicked wheel, delete the ebv and get a new pedestal with the same. also upgrade the exhaust housing to a 1.0 or 1.15

 

1.0 wastegated housing, Turbomaster wastegate controller, if the stock wheel is good, then get an ATS housing and be done with it.

If you tow, i'd keep the EBPV if you use it as a brake. And also the Wastegate to limit boost pressures when towing so the backpressure doesnt skyrocket.
