Question for Darksiders running on air

Quick question for those running on Airbags, I was wondering where and how you mounted your air valves?

I was considering putting them in the cab to keep them dry, but doubt I will bother because of the noise. Other option is just to bolt them to the chassis back near the rear axle. I am using Air ride technologies valves that are quite compact as they are essentially one big block of aluminum but they are quite heavy so would probably have to make a bracket of some description to mount them to the chassis.

Just wondering what others had done?

Cheers
Lee

I have smc valves which are quite different. I am showing everything off in the bed as I have custom tanks for fuel and air. Many do hide the valves under the bed but it is most often recommended to mount them as close to the bags as possible.(If you didnt already know)

I too am running air rides mounted them on the frame near the rear in front of the axle.
running two tanks one up under the bed between the rearend and roll pan
the other under the cab driver side between the frame and running boards

Thanks Keith/1low50,

Yes the Air ride valves are quite different to the smc's, one reason I went with them was that they can be stacked together to neaten the install and reduce the number of connections.

I am not too worried about speed of operation so decided not to go with multiple compressors/tanks and decided that I would mount all the valves together in one location for neatness. Even though they will be under the bed they will be visible some of the time as I am making the bed a tipper.

My thoughts (open to others advise here) is to keep all the valves together and towards the rear, I have 4 bags at the rear and 2 at the front, so my thinking is I will have 2 valves at the rear inflating 4 bags with little weight and 2 valves inflating 2 bags at the front with the weight of engine etc.
With this setup I should hopefully be able to have a level rise/fall with the distribution of weight.

cheers
Lee
