Ball Joints, tie rods, etc.

I'm replacing the Upper and Lower ball joints on my 2000 F-150 2WD tomorrow which should be no problem with RACERGUYs go-by. But I'd like to know if it wise to spend the $150 to replace the inner and outer tie rods as well. Or if there is a way to inspect them, that would help out too. Appreciate any help!

I went ahead and did my outers at the same time but not my inners. Just make sure to install the camber kit when you do it. I told the guy Guy at orielys that i wanted it and he argued with me and talked me out of getting it....I took it to get aligned yesterday and they first thing they said was it needs a camber kit and they wanted 110 to install it...so i bought it for 45 and did it myself.

Ball joint replacement was pretty easy except that the ball press only got the lower ball joints out. It was too small to get them back in....I used a floorjack. I did go ahead and replace upper and lower tie rods while I was under there. The alignment was way off when I was done but I bought the camber kit and took it to my alignment shop. I had previously paid the extra $20 for a "lifetime" alignment so that was a well $20 spent.

I couldn't tell what exactly the camber kit is used for. I didn't see any adjustments other than the two large washers that came with it. Am I missing something? From the factory, there are two bushings on either side of the upper arm mounting bolts.
