I am think about buy junk f250 from my work

They have1985 or 1988 f250 I think it is F250 HD because thicker leaf spring.

They think scrap because rust on body but to me it not look serious plus no 4x4 because they have no time to replace bad u joint on front right tire so sudden snow storm they need plow their park lot so they did then slam on gas pedal bang so hard that they thought they broke plow. Found that drive shaft is fall.

Engine is 351 it will not include because it brand new motor. I would buy for $400 for that truck with plow.

I been think about put 4.9L 300 with carb on that but worry if it don't fit there.

I like 4.9L 300 because it get 20 mpg with my truck if drive like grandma.

Would those truck with c3 fit 4.9L 300?

Let me know if anyone have done install 4.9L 300 in that truck?

Yes, that motor will fit no problem, but don't expect to get 20mpg in an F250 with a C6 tranny unless you keep speeds under 60mph.

motor will fit fine, and the bellhousing is even the same on the tranny. But if you really want 20 mpg you are going to need to find a ZF-5 tranny for it. The one you need will be behind 300/302/351's in F250's and F350's

Ok now I am think about put ford 300 in there I don't like fuel injector on 300 it worst than carb.

Well years I am wrong it is 1986 with 90's body because they replace that long time ago because rusty cancer in Michigan.

I don't like drive fast with old truck but my 79 f150 speed is 55 mph that it. If go more speed it have horrible vibrant.

Guy want $1000 for truck with snowplow and 351 if I want buy with no motor he want $400.

351 have around 5,000 to 7,000 miles on it.

I think 300 would do great plus not worry about mpg since it get little better mpg than 351.

Now I am go to search for cheap 4.9L 300.

I'd think about getting the truck and paying for the 351 motor as part of the deal. The V-8 is worth twice as much as the truck.

The $600 he wants for the 351 is definitely worth it.
For the 300, you'll need to find a motor, change over the computer, wire harness, motor mounts, radiator?, exhaust, and I'm sure I'm leaving something else out.
Just not worth it IMO.
