62 radio
Hello, I was going to post in the audio forum, but I figured here would be a quicker result. A couple months ago, i picked up a good straight AM radio from a 1962 F100. It will be going in my 66, as it never had a stock radio, and as far as I can tell, there are only 2 wire off the radio, a positive and a ground. Towards the rear of the radio on the same side as the wires, it looks like 2 holes for the round electrical connectors. Would those be for the radio? And if so, would the larger be the postive?
I wont be getting a speaker for this for a while, or powering it up, but would like to have everything ready for it.

There is a single wire should have a fuse connector that connects to the yellow-black stripe wire in harness. The other 2 wires are for the speaker, the diag. indicates 1 is black, and the other is yellow-blk, but does not show which side is pos. or neg., since speaker wires not sure if it matters, perhaps more knowledgeable member can advise. On my 65 prior owner installed speakers in the metal door side panels so I removed cover plate on the back of radio and soldered leads for the speaker wires. Posting couple pic's of radio: One is a pic of fuse connector that connects to the wire harness. Another is a pic of the 2 hole connection for the speaker wires. In a perfect world the speaker will have the 2 pin connector attached. Finally, the other pic is of another type speaker connection consisting of male/female connector that will connect to corresponding mate, pic included. Hope of some help.

Alright, slacker me has been busy, so here is a picture of the side of the radio. Now, there are no other connections on here except for a antennea spot on the other side, and a screw for adjusting max volume on the weakest station.

Opps, failed to think by removing pic's from 'photo bucket' it would remove link to pic's, dah, anyhow, have since restored pic's. The pic is the connector for the speaker. As noted in the previous post, I removed radio panel and soldered wires to connect to speaker. There appear to be couple different type radio speaker connectors, they type you posted, and another type in pic's I posted.

So that would be the speaker connectors? Could i safely assume the big hole is positive? or is trial and error in play here? I have a couple old speakers i can try.

61/66 radio antenna
The antenna mounts on the right side and has been reproduced by Dennis Carpenter.
The same antenna was used on all 1961/66 F100/1100's.
It's also the same antenna the 1961/64 Galaxies used: C3AZ-18813-C
There a hole pre-drilled in the right cowl inner panel specifically for the antenna cable to pass thru.
The only thing is, feeding that antenna cable thru that cowl hole can be a real PITA!

Not sure pos. or neg. wire connection matters. As noted, soldered leads in order to connect speakers installed in each door. Posting link to pics of 65 wire diag. but does not have diag. speaker internal wiring. Also posting link of pic's from 65 Ford shop manual, hopeful of some help. The manual includes page 3 which describes noise suppressant equipment, did not download the page.

Fits: 1961/66 F100/1100's / 1961/72 C/CT500/1100 (flat nosed Tilt Cabs).
Fits: 1966/77 Bronco
Fits: 1964/69 N/NT & T Series (the big trucks that use a 1961/66 cab and have unique front sheet metal..some have a conventional hood, some have a butterfly hood).

Well, looking at some pictures, its not the usual 61-66 radio, so this may be out of a car? NumberDummy may be able to help here, as the only numbers on it are: 24MF-169910. I will get a frontal picture of it up tonight.
Oh, and I bought it off Ebay for $25, and it was advertised a 62 pickup radio.
