Not sure if the truck radio is the same, however; I just reinstalled the radio in my 66 mustang, and the wires were--power, radio light, and the speaker. I only have one speaker, so there was just one speaker wire. I am told there is a positive and negative for the speaker, and it does make a difference, but I can't verify this. I think it is just a clarity issue, no damage will incur. Cheers..
Sorry, seems some how in posting the links to radio pic's ended up putting entire photo album on display. Guess need not mention I am computer illiterate, as well as, a cigar smoking enthusiast. Can't seem to get them posted in FTE photo gallery so should anyone be interested in the originally posted pic's of 65 radio circuit out of wiring diag., and/or, the 2 pages on the radio out of the 65 Ford pickup them pm.
The photo's in pic's originally posted I had taken out of a 66 Ford pickup, as well as couple others, this was some yrs ago when it was not uncommon to find the radio still in the truck during salvage runs. Occasionally see them on ebay, make sure the dial and station indicator are in good working condition.
All this radio talk made me take a closer gander at mine. Lo and behold, it's out of a Chevy Luv!! Ugh! Not quite like a Chevy under the hood, but it's gonna have to go.
;-)
