These threads would be a lot better if someone started them with some specs on why.

Like difference in plies, thread depth, etc.

I don't think it's as much of an issue now with trucks coming stock with 20s
But when I bought my Toyos, them and BFG where one of the few making truck tires for plus sized rims. So availability in sizes

the bfg mts are a decent offroad tire but WAY overpriced, you can get a mt tire for much much less money that will perform as good/better

That might be true, but I have yet to see one that will last 65K miles like my BFG MTs have...

on average you may get 50k or a little more out of a set, i have buddies who run them and swear by them, keep em balanced and rotate em and keep pressure right and they all get about 50-55k out of a set, decent mileage, however ive seen other mud tires get just about as good or the same, the rediculous extra money you spend for them aint worth the little extra mileage you get

I put 37,000 on a set of BFG M/T on a 85 F-150 then sold all 4 for 150 bucks.

I had a set of AT's and they got dry rot. My truck sits a lot.

My brother's 01 F350 7.3 has a set w/ 36000 miles and they have approximately 60% tread left until completely bald... so around 45 to 50% usable life left by my standards. They're AT's- having tread doesn't really help that much anyways. Kind of kidding... but they do bring teh_suck.
