302 engine swap
1 am planning on replacing the 300-6 in my '84 bronco with a 302. are there any engine years i should avoid. i will be getting a complete engine with computer etc. from a wrecking yard then rebuilding. i heard the 84 302 has a crappy ignition system. what is the best years to pick from? thanks for any help you can give me.

Buy an entire truck that is close to the same year if you possibly can, save yourself 67 trips to salvage yards later. Ford engine size swaps can be extra painful due to their habit of re-designing things every 18 months. I love 'em but it is the truth.
