Tougher leaf springs

I was haulin a load of feed in my 150 today and realized those leaf springs can't really handle the weight that good.Im assuming since they have built in lift they can support weight like the stockers can.

I am just wondering if anybody knows if a set of leaf springs out of a newer super duty can be swapped in to a 77 150 4x4.

Thanks

Nope wont work. None of the dimensions are the same. As for lift springs they have a lower GVW than factory springs.

The superduty leafs will not swap in place.
Some 73-96 3/4 or 1 ton rear leafs should fit and be able to hold more weight, but how much weight are you putting in the bed?
There's always the option of putting a add a leaf...

you could put in some airbags to compliment the springs when you're hauling stuff

It was about 700 pounds.I guess since i was used to the weight capacity of the old springs, these just seem weak.

Will add a leafs work on leafs springs that have built in lift?

Bags sound like a good option too,but wont they be prone to tearing open when Im driving through the brush

way tougher than anyone gives them credit for. aside from trucks sitting for years and due to dry rot i dont think i have ever seen a bag just cut from debris. they are thick like a tire. virtually all over the road tractors run them
