LOL that should be a standard post that pops up every time someone asks about the header/carb/intake question. Can't talk too much because I did it too before I found the search button! Sheamus please don't take offense, its just that same question is posted here about 10 times a week.
dont worry about it, i just figured that rather than search through the hundreds of pages that i would just post it. thanks for the input, i will never again post thread like this
I'm assuming you have a 300, if so, some folks are getting dual exhaust manifolds from EFI 300 trucks from the junkyard as a cheap exhaust upgrade.
I've decided to replace the 1 barrel on my chevy 250 with a weber 38/38 2 barrel. They're a little different to get tuned correctly, but I'm up for the challenge. I'll be using a wideband O2 sensor to get it dialed in. The webers are a little pricey new, but they can be found on eBay used for half that.
Clifford and Offenhauser have four barrel intakes for the ford six (try ebay and swapmeets for used) and you can also get a 2 barrel adapter for them so you can run an Autolite or Holley 2 barrel carb.
