Portable air
Is there a portable air compressor that is better for truck tires ? I have tried a couple different portable 12 volt compressors none of them do that great of a job getting these big tires up to 50 PSI. It seems like they struggle and take forever. I tow a good size camper and am looking for something I can leave in the truck to fill up the truck and camper tires from time to time.

You can get one of the on board tanks mounted, 1 to 5 gallon, under the cab. nice thing about the set up is you can also hook up air horns to them as well as a compressor hose for filling tires or whatever its needed for. If you get air suspension you will already have the tank for that also. So it very versatile.

Here is the kit that includes the air horns, I know you can get the tank and compressor separate I just cant find where I seen the separate kits. This kit includes the 50' hose for toping tires like you said, might not need that much hose for a truck.
This is the expensive perminante way but adds alot of options and is worth it if you plan on towing and adding air suspension later on.
