My buddy at work got me into playing poker online. I don't use my own money though, so don't start flaming about that. As it happens, I play the freeroll games, and if I do well enough, I win "real" money that can be withdrawn I guess.
At Redstar Poker I got about a buck and a half, supposedly I can use it in a real money game. Haven't tried yet.
At Pitbull Poker, I placed high enough to win 30 cents twice, but my wife used up 50 cents to rebuy into the freeroll again. Trying to get her to sign up with her own account...
Anyway, this guy at work has half his desktop covered with shortcuts to a bunch of different poker sites.
I play on Poker in Canada. Just the play money stuff. I play the freerolls when I think about it. Never made it higher than 392 place or something like that.
Poker is my passion. I play a lot of online poker, and quite a bit of live poker in Vegas as well. I have been known to fly down for a weekend, do nothing but eat sleep and play poker, and come home with more than I left with, paying for the flight, meals, and taxis.
My biggest tournament cash online so far was $4k, but that happened twice. Once in November and another this past January.
I play on Full Tilt, but also stars from time to time. FT has a much better tournament structure than stars does, I think.
