Replacement truck part 2. the perks

First off i have to hand it to Ford. They really came through for me. Second, I have to give it up for Sun State Ford in Orlando. They went above and beyond to help me.

PERKS:
First off, I got a 54,000 dollar truck sold to me for 48,000. I was alloted 52,000 to replace the truck. that 4,000 dollars went towards the mileage usage and TTT in which i broke even.

Second, ford refinanced my truck to 0% and dropped my monthly payments by 250.00 dollars and saved me around 9,500 on interest charges. in return, problably saved me 13,000 dollars on the 5 year loan.

Third, Sun State Ford is working every angle to get me money back from Ford. The way Sun State is working this out is with a replacement vehicle they don't get to use the applied rebates toward a vehicle purchase so they have to apply them back to ford. so instead of losing the rebates they are going to try have the rebates paid directly to me.

Finally, the truck!!!
i got a moon roof, back up camera, captains chairs, and 20" rims. the creature comforts are much nicer than my previous one. i also noticed a difference in the fuel mileage right off the bat. my old truck averaged 10 mpg and this one is averaging 14 mpg already.

In closing, i am totally pleased with fords decision about my truck and the help of the dealership. I hope that anyone who has to go through what i went through has an experience similar to mine.

luke, you lucky shxx you, that is good news!! I hope everything is great for you. Ford said they have closed my case!! and extended warranty is all they can do. What was wrong with you old truck?

I have not had my truck for a week still in dealer for the 13th time. I hope the BBB comes to bat for me. My dealers never helped me at all. they offered me 30k trade in for mine and told me that was helping me! I am soooooo bummed
out. My wife and I are fighting, all I talk about is this truck I can't sleep.

She told me not to buy this truck at first and now man she is driving me crazyer

Ford don't relize, that people like me who are truck freaks, care so much about there trucks.

Tom, that sucks. I went through the same thing with my job 1. I've even changed dealers now. Things are much better. Wives don't understand either. I've thoughta lot about your deal. The thing that doesn't look good for you is that all your problems are different. Each state differs in laws , but in utah you have to have 3 episodes of the same prob within a certain amount of time and you have to give the dealer an opportunity to fix it. It might be worth a couple Ben's to pay an attorney and find out your local laws. At least you'd know you've tried everything. Push the BBB hard. This truck has given us all too much expectation and too little delivery. I deleted my dpf and the truck runs awesome, but the mpg is still way down. If I think about it I get really po'd. Explore your options legally as best you can. My brother is handling a case where a guy is suing a major car co (not ford) for personal injury. He says these big co's will push and push and push until it's obvious its going to trial and then they'll finally get some ***** and settle. You may have to be a lot more patient than you want to be. That is lame I know. I've also had 26 fords and I get irate when I think about ford giving me the bird when all I want is some good service. You might look around on blueoval forums and see if any engineers will help you assess your breakdown issues. To see if they've seen some of them. Good luck, let us know how the battle is progressing and look out for softhearts on these forums. How much was your truck?

Ford don't relize, that people like me who are truck freaks, care so much about there trucks.
the problem with my old truck was it would try to go into regeneration and it would stay and the truck was undriveable. the accelerater wouldn't work and it was a serious safety issue when i was driving. i would have to make an emergency stop wherever i could too pull the truck off the road so i could shut it down. ford tried to fix it 5 times with no results. ford had it for a total of 9 weeks. the longest at one time was 22 working days. i had a few smaller issues. the 4 wheel drive got stuck in low and had to replace the vacuum pump. it had an oil leak that couldn't be found. i didn't have as many problems as you, but the one problem i had was a serious safety issue that couldn't be resolved.

brandon4 is right about the severity of the problem. if you have a 100 problems that are fixed and are not the same problems, then you can't really go through the lemon law. in florida, the lemon law states that the truck has to be in the shop for repair on a flaw at least 3 times before it is considered a lemon or 15 consecutive days for one single repair. after it has been in the shop 3 times, ford has one last time to attempt to repair the problem. the BBB and lemon law are 2 seperate entities to help you with your claim. the BBB will contact ford to help mediate the case. you can still go to the BBB for help. i don't know if your lemon law will help in this case. i hope you can get some resolution someway. if all else fails, try a lawyer. about the wife? my wife was the same way. i just wish you the best of luck.

Thanks guys that will help! I will keep it up Brandon the truck was $47,170.63
I have called a lawyer also but I think you guys are right 3 things for lemon. But It has been in for lack of power, bad fuel MPG, and regens, 3 times. I know that is not 3 parts being replaced. I am very sure that other things will fail with this truck. and maybe this time it has been in a week for that dpf and regens they can't get the parts
so maybe the 15 day thing.

Thanks again

do you have gap insurance? if ford can't fix your problem, maybe you could find someone to take care of your problem...if you catch my drift. just kidding. something does need to be rectified one way or the other.
