I am looking for a tuner to delete the regen mode on my 08 f250 6.4. Who all makes them and which one is the least expensive. i am not trying to spend $1000 or is that the standard price for them all?
Superchips flashpaq $375, Kemperformance.com tune $200. With the tow prog. and dpf delete your truck will tow amazingly well. No regens will get better mpg and better performance. Not huge , but well well worth the money. I just towed my 27' wells cargo enclosed 2000 mi from logan ut to LA and back. I avg 8.5 mpg driving 75-80 and this truck woulod accelerate up mile long steep grades with the 50hp program. Do it and you'll be glad. 12k mi with mine deleted.
Why do you want to delete your warranty??? Isn't that what you do when you start modifying these 6.4 trucks with programmers and removing the DPF? Isn't a motor replacement a lot more expensive than the little fuel you save over the life of the warranty? I guess I'm a bit confused about the benefit vs overall cost. And what happens if your state decides to include the emissions into the annual inspections?. Not tossing cold water ballons, just courious.

Depends on your dealer is one. Also for me, I'd be saving about $1,200 a month in diesel.
You can always switch back in about 30 minutes before you take it into the dealer.

First off, as SaharaF350 said, the fuel savings offset any warranty risk for people who put a lot of mileage on their trucks. Over a couple years time it can more than pay for an engine, even out of pocket.
Secondly, proper tuning isn't detectable. Not trying to be a smartass or come across as arrogant, but we have spent hundreds of hours making sure that the service departments, field service engineers, and other personnel cannot determine the flash was ever present. Freeze frame, max values, flash logging, and ALL other "guilty" parameters are cleared and some values such as Time and Mileage since DTC's Cleared, Self Adaptive Data, and other parameters are emulated and falsified to ensure nothing suspicious appears. Once again, not trying to be hot-headed- but I don't care what anybody's opinions or "facts" on the matters are--- proper tuning for the 6.4 is not detectable
