I had zero alignment problems putting a 351W into my 88. It lowered the front about an inch with the stock 88 springs. If you either replace the springs with new, or use springs from a 4.0 supercab you will settle even less. You won't have any problems as long as you don't have alignment problems now.
I put the engine and tranny in it last weekend it sits about where it was before.i still have alot to do before its running but its looking good so far. i will try to post a couple of pics this weekend
i went to put in my headers and they didnt fit. does anyone know of headers that will fit the gt40p heads in a 86 4x4?
I was under the assumption that you have to use shorty headers and put them in place before setting the engine, then bolt them on when the engine is in place... if that makes sense. That's just what I've been told, haven't actually done the 5.0 swap yet.
