Rear Diff

I need to know how to tell if I have a limited slip diff. If I spin my tires only one tire spins really well and the other spins a little bit. I think it is a limited slip but I am not quite sure. It is a 8.8

if you look on the dif tag it will say the ratio and if theres an l inbetween the ratio numbers like 3l55 or 3l08 you have a limited slip but if not you dont

There is no tag on the diff, I know what you are talking about and there isn't one there. I am just wonder how to find out without tearing it down.

Choke the front wheels, put in neutral, raise one end of the rear axle, and then try to spin the tire that's off of the ground. LS shouldn't spin (without great effort). Of course, if you have a worn out LS, that may appear open.
