EPA & DPF delete

So it sounds like the EPA has gotten on the custom tuning guys on their DPF delete programs. So what's the news on this? I heard they're still coming out but now you have to sign something saying that you will only use it off-road.

Are you talking about the people who are writing the programs? What could they do to them? That would be like arresting the people who manufacture tools because someone removes the DPF using their tools.

You mean like going after the gun manufacturers after somebody shoots someone. Or somebody going after a tractor manufacture after someone in a different country runs over a US citizen with a tractor. do you mean like that ?

It's to cover the people who are writing the programs and the ones who built the delete pipe. They're making something that removes a required, by law, emissions part. So basically it's saying they are selling something to you that you have agreed to use off road and from this point on whatever you use it for is your responsibility.

They're gonna know when it can be released in a few weeks. Hopefully mid January. No matter what I'm gonna do it. I don't have emissions tests where I live and no one knows what the heck a DPF is anyway. Not mention the lawmen around here have seen enough fires started from catalytic converters, they wouldn't care how I mod my truck to keep the temps underneath low.

The people who will be coming out with the delete stuff will be SCT & Superchips, those are the ones I know. The programmers they produce are upgradable with custom tunes, which is what the DPF delete will be. As far as more info most of us are in the dark about that. Give it a month or two and there should be a lot more information. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks.

Spartan Diesels DPF Delete Programs are out for the Flashpaq. SCT has REALLY dropped the ball on the Aftermarket Tuners for this 6.4 I am highly upset. I have been told 2 weeks for the past 4 months by them.....
