Hi, I an new to this. My wife and I just inharited a 1990 Ford F-350. The Blinkers & Hazzard lights worked when we first started driving the truck. One day while driving both the blinkers and flashers stopped working. I changed the Flasher and checked the fuses and still nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this and is this a commen problem with this truck?
Plan A: Go to helminc.com & order the 1990 F-350 electrical troubleshooting manual for around 20 or 30 bucks.
Connect your voltmeter as shown in the manual & operate the E-flasher switch.
You can either make and break the circuit with the E-flasher switch or not. If not the multifunction switch is shot & needs to be replaced.
And some folks think this electrical stuff is hard????
OR:
Plan B: If testing is'nt your thing, go to Napa or Autozone & pick up a new multifunction switch for around 60 bucks & follow the directions in your Haynes manual to install it.
If you lucky this will fix the problem.
OR:
Plan C pay a mechanic around 200 bucks to figure it out.
try wiggling the 4 way switch. on mine if i use them my lights don't work right sometimes. i just turn off the 4 ways and wiggle the switch check my lights and repeat.
Have you checked your blinker fluid? sorry couldn help myself
i had the same issue and the flasher on the fuse panel was the probelm you could try pullin and puttin it back..
check wires from the back of the fuses a wiggle could fix it
