What would acceptable compression be for my '84 4.9 I checked today and was getting between 110-125. I figured since they were all close to the same I am probably ok.

Not to bad little more spread then I like to see. If truck has lots of miles I don't see any real issues.

Mine was around 125 psi and that's on my '79 with X90,000 miles.

Last I checked, I was at 130, for my 88 with 180,000 miles.

my friend and i have a couple project 300's. we were recently told the following: originally from ford was 150 pounds. anything above 90 or 100 was acceptable. here's the funny part: none of ours were above 60. we're looking at a complete re-build. any suggestions for making it a muscle machine?
