I have had a thought - and it may not happen. But suppose we all, even if we cannot get together to do it, but wherever we are at the time, stepped outside and sang carols at Christmas, rather than waiting for carolers to come to our collective doors?
How many of us are there anyway?
All of those voices raised in joyous noise, together. Coast to coast, north and south, stars overhead, and young ones joining in with us....
If you live in the country, a bonfire could be had to provide warmth, and a cookout be a part of it.
Wouldn't that be something?
"Daddy? Why are we out here?" "To give something back for what we have been given, little one."
But if we want to do this - it needs to be organised well ahead of time, for example like RIGHT NOW.

This could be a grand G2G, and one not soon forgotten.
A "Christmas Gathering"
Also one that could be shared by everyone, no matter where you are.

I haven't gone caroling in years! Just start singing, the words will come back to you, music is in a different part of your brain. I can sing along with a lot of songs, but if you asked me the words I couldn't tell you. We did kareoke outside last year and no one complained, we're in!
I haven't heard or seen carolers in over 25 years. Probably since I last went out with my home church before I joined the service. More than likely my neighbors Rottweiler will join in if I get to singing, but it will be nice to see this tradition coming back.
Even if I don't set out on the front yard singing, I'll surely be remebering y'all and singing along when I am at church and even more importantly remembering our service men and women who will be away from their families this Christmas.
Great thaught Gorilla1, another way to remember our dedicated service men, without them and those that have served in the past, we might not have the opportunity to do this.
Thank you active duty and vets!
I don't Think it will work graywolf, Or maybe I just don't have the organizational skills that you have, Ben trying to have a Meet and greet or picnic or somthing of the like for Southern AZ, I even offered FREE BEER! But still no takers
