ton and half exhaust manifolds
What do you guys use for headers or exhaust manifolds on your ton and half trucks?
My old truck I just bought is missing one side and the other side looks rough. Most of the after market ones I have found on the internet say there is clearance issues on the big trucks.

I'm suprised there would be clearance issues on your truck vs. 1/2 ton trucks.
I have a set of FH V8 exhaust manifolds, but unsure if they'd work for you or not, I'll get the casting numbers off of them and let you do some investigation.

I'm assuming you're talking about a Y-block? ( I suppose you're not....)
I'm gonna use the ones in shown in my gallery. You can buy them new from Mummert.
I also had mine ceramic coated but that'll cost you about $225 more.
If you try to use dual exhaust manifolds meant for a car you'll have a problem with the left side hitting the steering box.
The only other options are headers (if you still want dual exhaust) or the crossover pipe and a single exhaust.

Sorry about not posting my year truck, its a 1946 with the flathead V-8. I think the after market headers should fit but just wanted to ask around before spending any money.

Just to update you guys, a set of headers will not work on a 1.5 ton truck. Works on the passenger side but not the drivers. The steering box is a lot larger on 1.5 ton trucks than the 1/2 ton.
I found a original set of manifolds at a local swap meet and they work great. Even with the original manifolds it is close to the steering box.
