I just bought a 1946 Ford ton and a half or maybe bigger truck. It has duel rear wheels. I'm going to go pick it up very soon and was wondering what the width and normal wheel base on these trucks were. If anybody has the approx. weight on this it would help also.
My plans for this old truck is to fix up back to original shape and pull my antique tractors around to the local shows and tractor pulls.
sounds like a cool thing to do . heck that truck was probably used as a tracter some its self.I recently aquired a 46 1/2 ton.. fair condition and am looking for any info Ican get.. after market drop spindles? break power booster swaps ? does this chassie share early fourty dims? you name it Id like to know. thanx and good luck at the tracter pulls thier fun.
My resources from www.macsautoparts.com also can order catalouges from them. All 3/4 and 1 ton models have a 122" wheelbase. Also can find parts at www.dennis-carpenter.com can also order catalouges. Search the links thourgh this site. I found all the parts I needed for my 46 3/4 ton Good luck
