The owners manual in my 2006 F-250 V-10 says 7 quarts of oil. The owners manual in my 2005 E-450, Jayco Escapade Motor home (built on a 2004 chassis thus being the 2V motor) shows 6 quartsof 5W20 oil.
Can anyone confirm these numbers?
Thanks, I only want to get it correct.
How level the truck sits make a LOT of difference on the dip stick
On my 05 3v V10 I add just about 1/3 quart to the filter... the 6 and 2/3rds quarts go down the fill spout and after start, idle, off, and sit the stick is just shy of the top tiny hole and full hash marks by about 1/8th inch
6 Quarts on my 2001 2v V10 always made her about 1/8 inch high on the stick, and I simply accepted that as "close enough" and did not worry a bit about a "tad overfull"
