I saw a brand new red double cab today, at first i thought it was a sport trac....but it wasnt. It had mexico plates, so i am assuming they released them over there. It was sharp, the cab looked about the same size or a little bigger than the double cab tacoma. I was going to try to get a pic with my camera phone but it went by too fast. just thought i would share.
Being in San Diego and all i see all kinda of different cars from Mexico....I saw a Chevy Tornado today too! Its like the Ford Courier. Has anybody bought a truck from mexico and driven it back to the US? If you got the diesel i could see how that might be a problem, but they probably offer it in a 4.0 as well.
The link Rangerxlt02 posted (http://www.ford.com.mx/home.asp) has a 360 degree view of it. Its in spanish, but if you click the bottom box it has trucks. It looked nice i must say.
I saw one in KC a while back, it was beat up fairly. Makes you wonder why the USA which should have the latest greatest is stuck with yester-years models and technology. Gotta love that green-back shuffle.
I live in Houston and have seen two of them from Mexico in the last year. The two I have seen looked like a super crew edge, but did not sit quite as high off the ground as the edges I see here, and had one of those extra short beds....nice truck....needed a little lift...but I hope thats what they eventualy get for us here....
I've seen lots of crew cab Rangers in Mexico. Some for personal use, some for the Federales. Pretty cool looking too, a truckload of cops in the cab, and a box full of cops standing, hanging on to the roll bar.
