My boss has a 04 or 05 f350 with a V10 in it , been sitting about 2 weeks, he started it up and it made a noise, shut it off, checked oil, oil fine, drove it down the road and found it had a loss of power, let it sit about an hour or so we started it back up and it was smooth as a kitten, drove it down the road and wouldnt get over 30 mph, truck has 80.000 miles on it, been a great truck before this. any ideals?
so long as its 03 and up its a 3 valve. i recommend using a code reader unless there are no codes thrown. i had a similar problem caused by my computer. i reset it and it was fine. the previous owner incorrectly uninstalled a chip.
Has the fuel filter been changed recently? You can have it scanned to see if there is a code to read. Maybe a computer reset may help. I agree with what has been posted.
