Again thanks to all who have answered my questions so far. You have been very helpful. For anyone who may be interested I finally figured out how to post a few pictures of my 1947 One Ton Truck to the galleries. The new album is called 1947 Lumber Truck. ( I know it 's not an F3... just guessing at the closest category). If I was more computer literate I would understand how to put a link to the album in this message. Perhaps someone will expain that ?
Thanks,
Neil.
Under the quick reply box there is Go Advanced if you click that you can add pics to thread. Just scroll down the page to attach files, Thats a very nice truck you have. took me a while to figure all this out 2.
Thank you. I have tried this and I can not see where I can attach files. My posting rules continue to say " you may not post attachments". I am using a Mac . Maybe its browser is just incompatible. Glad you liked the truck anyway.
You cant post attachments unless you pay to be a supporter. I finally asked the question on one of the communications forums, "why cant I post attachments?".
Nice tonner you have there!
Tonner is what Ford called the early 1 ton trucks. This goes back to the introduction of the 1 ton in '38. The ones with pickup beds, like the one I have, is known as an Express. This applies to the 1 ton pickups, not the 1/2 ton, oddly enough. I believe '47 was the last year they were referred to as Tonners, since '48 brought out the F Series.
