well, i saw the unplugged show last night and have to admit i was blown away. i know the standard Bon Jovi knocks and i used to be a perpetrator of most of them, but i now have to re-think my attitude.
just my observation.
I didn't get to see that yet. I'm a bit biased since I've liked Bon Jovi since '85'. Thanks for the review Lenny. I'll have to see it when it shows again.
I like Bon Jovi but I think he's gonna cost me a lot of money some day. Every time I hear him sing, 'It's my life', I'm ready to go out and order a new vette.
i like bon jovi myself and have yet to see the unplugged show but after making only one song which is sorta country ( they have a rock version) i wonder why he is on CMT.. i love country music and um country music is NOT rock..
hey how about ELO unplugged??
But does he belong on CMT? He's a rocker, not a country singer. It just like when they had Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow and more recently, Kelly Clarkson. Those are all fine musicians, but they arent country singers. Its like a certain country song says, "a little sissie in a cowboy hat aint country".
I miss the days when CMT was all about country music. Nowdays they have more BS tv shows than actual stuff related to country music.
I wish they would go back to the way CMT used to be in the late '90s: playing music videos during the week and on Saturday night having the top 20 countdown and the Grand Ole Opry.
I could care less about the Dukes, Blue Collar comedy, Trick My Truck, Smokeys vs Bandits, Country Fried Home Videos, movies (how many times are they going to show Pure Country, Broken Bridges and Urban Cowboy???) and all the other BS shows that are on there nowdays.
I think he's on CMT, because he's releasing a country album soom (if not already). I've heard some of the songs already, and though I like them, personally I don't think they sound very country.
I don't think so ..... I took a voice lesson once and the teacher suggested that I learn to accompany myself. "Guitar", I asked. "No", he replied, "Harmonica".
