For the flower loving members of FTE

Who doesn't like Roses ?

Just thought I would share a photo of my roses which I nutured back to prosperity since I bought the house in Nov 2003.

In September of that year they were almost dead......the spring of 2004 was the start of trying to save them.

Here they are Yesterday at noon.

Enjoy them ..everyone else on the street is ,as they walk buy.

Too bad I can't make a scratch and sniff post

Mil1ion, I am not a lady (or a woman at all, for that matter) and I find your roses to be quite beautiful. I like pretty roses as much as I do ugly dogs. Go figure. Although I suspect you are not a sexist, some might consider your "For the ladies of FTE" heading to be of a sexist nature. I certainly hope not. Anyway, your roses are absolutely exquisite and adorable. Good job.

Thanks ,I changed the header.

I considered the thread as the "giving of roses".

I don't give roses to any man.....no matter how feminine they are

Great job Dennis

Sometimes we got to do other things besides work and think about trucks.

as the saying goes..............

Sometimes we got to stop an smell the roses!

or something like that.

Again great job, and please to flame me too much!

Well the red ones are still struggling and the white ones.

I had a Primrose that I had transplanted but it didn't make it.

The people who had this house for the previous 12 years tried to do things as cheap as possible and as such showed disorganization from where they planted flowers and bushes.

Eventually, I will be turning 1/3 of the back yard into a rose garden using the Alberta Wild Rose.

Hello there, thought I would say I love the roses, it does not matter what color they are, But my most favorite rose is very hard to find, found that out when I grad. from high school years ago lol they are white with one pink peddle and the tips are a lite pink my dad ended up going to 13 flower shops ended up find them at the Tops down the street from Art Park. We also used to have what was supposed to be dawarf rose bushes but the dang thing grew almost up to a second window they were the most beautiful roses I ever seen and they were crazy cause they would bloom one color and then die and then turn another color and they would also live during the winter. We would keep the egg shells from the eggs we would use and the coffee grounds and put them around the roses and make sure we would mix it in the dirt and water them well wish it would of taken pictures of each time they would bloom and rebloom especialy durning the winter lol . Keep up the wonderful job with your roses.

great job with the roses. I had some bushes in my old house i had sold. they hadnt grown as well as yours but the new people musnt hav e liked roses cause all the bushes were ripped out last time i passed the place. It was always calming to sit in the yard and gaze at the bushes after a long workday. I always liked the fire and ice roses

I can appreciate the time and effort it took to make them look that good, Dennis. There's really nothing like watching something you planted grow out of the ground, is there?

I just wonder... what kinda tractor did ya use to plant them with?
