Thinking of selling my baby 60 F-100

Take a look at my gallery and you will see the truck I am thinking about selling. The truck is completely original and I want to customize one. It has the 223 with a 4 speed. People say just customize the one you have and I just can't do it. You can find plenty of customized trucks but ones in original condition are very hard to find and I believe it is more valuable in it's original condition than customized. What do you think it is worth? Any Ideas?

Thank you for the offer but I will have to pass. Growing up in the early 70's I had a long bed 60. I really liked the short bed and I was going to do a drivetrain and cab switch (the long bed had a wrap window). I found a short bed with the flat back window. and I tore them both apart and started sand blasting and then I got burnt out. Days without working on them turned into weeks and then months. One day I came home and both trucks were gone. Dad got tired of them sitting around and sold them both. I was devastated. So to make a long story short, I am very picky and will only buy a short bed with a wrap window.

Actually you get more for a chopped up lowered truck. The person selling it takes a big loss decause of all the money and man hours put into it. That is a nice looking truck you have. I have a 60 short bed flareside 223 4 on the floor small back window thats all orig. Hopeing to get it painted this summer. It hard to say on a price without seeing it in person to hear it run and to drive. Ball park 4000.00

Thanks for the input. I would be looking for a truck like you described, and I see them on ebay quite often. However, just recently a stock 60 with the flat window sold for a little of $6K. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2557331&rd=1,1.

I know that the market will determine the final value. One of the questions is whether the sentimental value I have for the truck is more or less than the final offer. The other question is how much will this truck be work in 5 years, 10 years etc? I know it will never be a Barret-Jackson truck but the rarer and fewer they become, the more they will be worth.

I wouldn`t be in a hurry to sell your gem if it`s possible to hang on to it.
Like you said it will probably go up rather than down, it`s a sweet truck with alot of sentimental value as well.

Looks like a nice, original pickup. They aren't making any more of them. I'd hang on to it somehow. I think you'll regret selling it down the road.

Yes, I will probably keep it, the only problem is storage. See my next topic on "It's in the way". Thanks for the input.
